Team Liquid's ziGueira retires from competitive R6
theScore esports Daily is a once-a-day briefing covering the top news stories from around the world of esports.
Wanting to start a family and spend more time with his wife, Team Liquid's Leo "ziGueira" Duarte has decided to retire from competitive Rainbow Six: Siege
Despite the retirement—announced on the Team Liquid website—ziGueira plans to take up a full-time streaming career after taking time off in his home town of Petropolis.
"I just got married in January. It's been very hard being in San Paulo, while my wife, Anne, is one hour away by plane. She stays alone in my hometown, Petropolis. I was a little tired of being away from her. I want to have a child and start a family. Esports was blocking me from doing this which why I decided to remove it," ziGueira said in the blog post.
Today is bittersweet as @canalzigueira has retired as a competitor. This is a man who lived with our team away from his family in order to accomplish his dreams. It is sad to see you step back, but you deserve this more than anyone. Thank you for all that you have given us. https://t.co/ZSmbXtx8cc

valens returns to Cloud9 CS:GO roster as head coach
After bringing in Ronald “Rambo” Kim to coach the Cloud9 CS:GO roster on a trial basis beginning in January, the organization recently announced that veteran leader Soham "valens" Chowdhury has returned to coach the team.
Valens is infamous for helping Cloud9 win the 2018 ELEAGUE Boston Major, pulling off a historic 2-1 victory over a heavily favoured FaZe Clan superteam.
Cloud9 thanks @RonRamboKim for what he brought to #C9CSGO in the last months. We wish him the best of luck as he moves forward in his career.

We are excited to announce that @valens will be taking back the Head Coach position in the team! #LETSGOC9 https://t.co/MB6ZW6Ja1f
During Rambo's time coaching the team, valens took on the role of Director of Data Science for Cloud9, quoted in a HLTV interview as saying "The goal right now is that I'm not leaving C9, I'm not leaving esports, I'm just doing data science work to build out Cloud9's analytics division."
Cloud9 as of late has posted poor results, failing to win a single match at the recent BLAST Pro Series Miami. With valens back in the head coach position, Cloud9 is looking to get back on track at Dreamhack Masters Dallas kicking off on May 28th.
